Parents who know that their children are using the internet and vising chat rooms have every right to monor their usage. Children should be taught to not give out a lot of personal information. Once they mention their school, a sport that they play or a full name, they could be prime targets for someone who is interested in more than socializing in chat rooms. Teach your children to think rationally before entering chat rooms. Talk about safety and secury. It is a lot easier to become a victim than to protect yourself from becoming one. Take a few extra moments to think before entering chat rooms and talking wh complete strangers. Just remember, that online, people can pretend to be anyone they want to be. Don?t
