Music download sites offer vast collections of songs for a relatively small price. These sites are offspring to Napster and other free music download sites. Although you can?t expect to get free songs you can get great music for next to nothing by using one of these popular websites.

Of course, Napster tops the list of music download sites. This organization has been in operation for awhile and some complain that this porthole is a little lagging compared to other music download sites out there. However, there are those of us who are very happy with the services provided by Napster.

One of those services is free tracks. Okay, I know that I just said that you can?t get free songs but what I really meant was that you can?t keep the free songs. In a nutshell, Napster allows guests to listen to tracks up to five times before purchasing it. This is a great feature of an online music download site because you can test the track a few times before buying it.

Rhapsody is one of the most popular music download sites. This organization offers an outstanding selection that really overshadows the rest. You do have to make a commitment to keep your songs if you put them on a compatible MP3 player. If you drop your account, you also drop your collection of songs. But for about fifteen bucks a month, you really can?t lose.

I like to listen to songs on my computer so I would prefer the unlimited song option that Rhapsody offers. I can listen to tracks online as much as I want for about ten dollars a month. The only drawback is that I don?t keep the songs on my own computer. They are still housed in Rhapsody.

If you are looking for the least expensive music download sites then you may want to consider Wal-Mart. Yes. This store offers everything. You can expect to spend about 12 cents less per track. This may not seem like a big savings but it really adds up remarkably fast.

Also, Wal-Mart has a pretty limited selection compared to other options. It isn?t really one of the music download sites for real music-lovers. Albums that have warnings and parental advisory labels are off limits. You may pay less but you do have to take the limitations into consideration if you are going to use Wal-Mart online music download sites.

Buy Coffee Online Cheaper

With the coffee craze in full swing, many people are turning to the Internet for fresh java and fine espresso machines. Often you can buy coffee online cheaper than you can in retail shops or major coffee house chains. A lot simply depends on what beans or supplies you are shopping for. If you already have a nice coffee maker or espresso machine, then you are probably seeking out various gourmet bean selections and flavored syrups. This is a lot of fun to do and the rates are decent.

Okay, if you purchase a lot of coffee beverages in shopping malls and specialty java houses, you likely drop a lot of cash on coffee. This is certainly up to you. A lot of people simply love the simplicity, selections and convenience of it all. However, you should be aware that you can buy coffee online as well, and it will cost you a lot less money if you have your own machine or equipment for brewing a fine cup of Joe at home. This is what you would need to make espresso drinks in the comfort of your own house; a decent espresso machine, your milk of choice, coffee beans or grounds, and flavored syrup if you desire it in your coffees. Once you have the espresso machine itself, you really just need to buy coffee beans and syrup. More than likely you already purchase milk weekly at the grocery store. The cost of supplies is profoundly cheaper in the long run.

Let’s take a peek at some great websites that allow you to buy coffee online. Some of these are PapaNicholas.com, CoffeeBeanDirect.com, and Starbuck.com. You can acquire both ground coffee and whole coffee beans through these websites with ease. Now, you should be concerned with the kind of coffee you are buying, since there are so many to select from. Maybe you prefer mild blends, or possible have a taste for extra bold roasts. Then again, if you plan on making espresso with a machine in your home, you can always buy espresso coffee beans online for a decent price. Generally these are sold by the pound, but you can always purchase larger quantities if you choose to.

Keep in mind the roasting date any time you buy coffee online. Even if you buy it from a local store, you should also be concerned with the date it was roasted. Once beans are roasted, they only have a certain life span in regards to freshness. It naturally helps if they are vacuum-packed and sealed. Ask the vendor when the beans were roasted and shipped to them. Sometimes you can even find the roasting dates on the packages the coffee beans come in. This will make all the difference in how good the coffee tastes once it’s brewed.

Lost season two

Lost season two

Lost is one of the most popular shows on modern television, an hourlong drama that combines elements of sci-fi, melodrama, adventure and thriller genres in a way that many, many people find to be near endlessly entertaining. Me personally, I’m not a big fan. I find J.J. Abrams – the creator and producer, as well as head writer of Lost – to produce insipid and simple work. In that regard, lost season two is a perfect example.

The whole season revolved around the cliffhanger from season one, namely “What was in the hatch?” Yes, Abrams and his writing staff answered the query early – in the opening sequence, actually – but that shot off only more questions as Lost Season Two progressed. Periodically the writes would drop hints at what was going on, but in fact their main goal seemed only to be as incrutable and obtuse as possible, with the goal of representing confusion as entertainment. It’s a tack taht I, as a television viewer, find to be endlessly annoying, but clearly (according to the ratings) many people find to be absolutely scintillating.

My main gripe with that kind of writing is that it cheapens the narrative of the story being told. Yes, you can throw in cliffhangers and wild twists and turns, but you do so at the expense of legitimate characterization and story development. Instead of getting people invested in the plot or the situation, you get them invested in the trick about to be played on them. It’s like going to see a magician; he distracts you with his left hand while he performs the trick with his right, and you get a momentary thrill of “ooh, how’d he do that?” with no more significant meaning behind anything that’s actually happened.

Then at some point, the writers realize that they’ve constructed nothing but a house of cards and have to further the plot somehow. Without exception this seems to be done by adding new, superfluous characters who function only as plot devices. That’s because they’ve spent more time coming up with “shocker” moments than actually developing a cohesive narrative into which their current characters can fit and advance. And Lost isn’t the only popular show to do that – Heroes is another.

So lost season two has some twists and turns, but in the way I look at it, it’s twists and turns to no point except for having twists and turns in and of themselves. Is that a good enough reason to purchase or even rent lost season two? Not for me.

An Antivirus Comparison of Fake Rogue Scanners

An Antivirus Comparison of Fake Rogue Scanners

People who hold out on installing antivirus software on their computers have lots of good reasons to do so: antivirus software can slow down your computer, it can often make a nuisance of itself if you don’t choose the right brand, and so on. But sometimes, when your computer slows down or becomes flaky, you do want to make sure that it is a malware issue before you relent and buy antivirus. Some more trusting folks do have antivirus on their computer, but still have a nagging suspicion that the slowdown they notice in their computer’s performance comes from overactive antivirus, and not from some undetected virus lurking in the system. For people in these dilemmas, scammers have a little special treatment in mind – rogue antivirus scanners. Let us first explain what these are, and then do an antivirus comparison – for software of the rogue variety.

The rogue antivirus concept takes many shapes. And they always bear evidence of the same modus operandi. Some modify the coding in your Internet browser, and pop up what looks like a Windows system notification that asks you to do something; it is just other annoying pop-up though, that wants to make you believe it is legit. Some other lowlife attempts are occasioned by a virus infection, or an ActiveX script, and will take on the appearance of a properly installed application. Whatever they look like, they all do the same thing: they tell you that they have found a terrible virus on your computer, and will ask you to press a button to address the issue. When you do, they ask you for a small $25 donation, and then disappear with your money.

One of the worst offenders is Antivirus 360, that plies its trade by trying to look and sound like software you already trust. The name itself is a take on Norton 360, and they hope you’ll think that it is connected to the genuine article because it has the same number. When they pop up a window on your browser, they make it look exactly like XP’s Security Center. And exactly where XP’s real Security Center would have a virus protection section, right next to where the real “Recommendations” buton would be, they have a little link to buy their product. All they want to do is get your credit card number to take you for as much as they can. But a rogue antivirus comparison should bring up stuff that is a lot worse than this. Antivirus 2009 spreads mainly through spam. They put out increasingly alarming warnings with realistic-looking graphics, and when you offer to pay them for their cleanup services, they flood your computer with viruses.

In a fake antivirus comparison, Win32/InternetAntivirus always has to bear special mention; Microsoft put out a special warning against this beauty a couple of months ago. Microsoft describes it this way: “A rogue program that displays false and misleading alerts regarding malware, in order to convince users to purchase rogue security software”. Once you purchase their rogue security software, they install a password stealing virus on your system called TrojanSpy:Win32/Chadem that performs as promised, and steals your stuff. It is no real use keeping an eye on the websites either that these come from. They keep changing. But just in case it does any good, here are a few of the top names in the fake business: WinCleaner 2009, Malware Doctor, Spyware XP Guard, Spyware Remover 2009, Total Protect 2009/Total Defender/Total Security, Virus Shield 2009/Virus Shield Pro, and Windows Security Suite. Heads up.

Teen Dating Sites for Online Connections

Nowadays there are many ways to meet new people. No longer do you have to venture out to clubs and bars to chat it up with strangers you find appealing. In this modern era of PCs, cell phones and high-speed internet access, virtually anyone can make a connection on the web. However, it is important to approach this contemporary method of socializing in a safe manner. This means knowing what sites you should and should not get involved with beforehand. Whether you knew it or not there are web communities to suit just about anyone. There are even teen dating sites in full swing now.

Okay, many individuals, male and female, used to frown heavily upon online socializing and dating. Everyone was so concerned with whom they may be meeting in cyberspace. Although someone claims to be a 13-year-old girl, they could actually be a 53-year-old man. Okay, we all get the point! There are bad people in the world. However, this is true about individuals you encounter in any setting or environment. It doesn’t matter if you are in a local high school hang out or on teen dating sites. There are going to be nice and bad people everywhere at some time or another. That’s just life.

Have you tried out the new-age teen dating sites yet? Just to give you a heads up, a few of these are called eSpin.com, MyLOL.net, and chatpit.com. Basically these are websites that teenagers, male and female, can frequent to start new relationships. This does not mean that everyone who meets on these websites goes out on dates. It is merely a convenient way to meet other peers that do not live in your neighborhood or go to your school. Let’s face it; everyone wants to meet some fresh faces.

The key to checking out teen dating sites is making certain they are legitimate. Avoid any websites that look shady or centered around quick sexual encounters. These are not true dating sites and are a waste of time. If you are a parent and want to expose your daughter or son to teen dating sites, do a little research of your own beforehand. This is a great way for you to be certain your children are safe. Review several teen dating sites and see what all they say online and how they interact. You might be surprised when you find out that many of these new-age dating sites are free. On the other hand, some of them do charge a monthly fee for a membership. It just depends on which one you check into. So, if you are having trouble meeting someone to hang out with or date, give these online networking sites a shot. They may be just what you are looking for.

Get Out of Debt Fast

Get Out of Debt Fast

So many Americans are in debt! Especially when you factor in the state of the US economy, it is fairly easy to see why so many people are having money troubles. Part of this dilemma has to do with the lack of jobs these days. Regardless, there are ways to get out of debt fast, but you need to first understand your options prior to doing so. Although filing bankruptcy is an option, there is a major drawback to this. You will essentially ruin your credit for the next seven to ten years. This can really be a problem if you need to go purchase a new vehicle, or you are trying to buy a home. Not a lot is available to those with bad credit.

Consider your bills! What absolute bills do you have each and every month? These generally consist of your utilities, home mortgage, car payment, groceries, gas, cable and Internet. You get the picture. Add up these bills and see what they come to. This is the amount of money you must spend each month. There is really no getting around it, unless you find a way to cut out internet or lower your cable bill. Now, write down how much money you have coming in each month. Compare that to your living expenses. If you make less than you need to live on, that is a serious problem, and will not help you get out of debt fast by any means. However, if you are like most people, you do make enough to pay the bills, but you somehow end up spending a significant portion of it elsewhere.

Thing about your debt and credit cards. How many credit cards do you have, how high are the annual percentage rates on each one, and how much do you currently owe on each of them? These are all good questions and can help you get out of debt fast. You see, it may be in your best interest to consolidate this debt and pay less money in interest each month. This way you will get them paid off quicker and spend less money on interest in the process. Consolidation is often the key when you need to get out of debt fast. This way you simply have one, low monthly bill, as opposed to several large bills that overwhelm you every time they need paid.

Do not put things off! If you really want to get out of debt fast, you have to get a move on. Watch your spending each day. Do not simply try to cut back. Monitor every penny you spend so that you know where it’s going. This is worth your time and effort because it will help you save more and more money as weeks pass. Finally, you should avoid dining out, which always takes a great deal of money when done regularly.

Tips on training your puppy the easy way!

Tips on training your puppy the easy way!

A puppy is always a pleasure to welcome into your home. These cute little rascals are friendly, funny, curious and mischievous, but just like kids – ;} – , they’ve got to be introduced to the ground rules of your home life in order for them to integrate into your family life as easily and pleasantly as possible, to your mutual satisfaction. Training your puppy may sound like an overwhelming prospect ? where do you begin? However, training a puppy need not be arduous and trying. On the contrary, training your new family canine can be easy and fun. Your puppy comes complete with attitude. For the best results and shortest learning curve, all you need to do is apply your lessons consistently, calmly and with a gentle manner. Here are a few tips to get you started, training your puppy the easy way.

When you first bring your puppy home, he’s bound to be excited and curious. Everything is new to him. Before you bring him in the house, lay a few sheets of newspaper down around the house. In his excitement, don’t be surprised if there’s an accident deposited on the floor somewhere. Treating carpets with a water repellent spray, prior to bringing your new family member home, may be a good investment! If a potty accident occurs, don’t flip out and shriek at the poor little puppy … he doesn’t know this is undesirable behavior. Instead, use a low, firm voice, saying ?No, no…?, and get him over to the newspaper. Granted, the deed is already done, but if you don’t scare him with shrill chastisements and excessive hand-wringing, your puppy will soon come to the party, associating the act with the newspaper as a people-pleaser.

One of the coolest characteristics of dogs is that they have an in-built desire to please you, which is certainly not the case with kitties! Keep this fact in mind as you begin training your puppy. He ? or she ? intuitively regards you as the master in this relationship ? unless you give your puppy reason to think otherwise! Never use a heavy-handed approach when training your puppy. If you do, he may dig in his heels or simply become afraid of you and less willing to go along with your program.

Being patient during the all-important potty training period lightens your load in future lessons, such as the ’sit’, ’stay’ and ‘heel’ training sessions. Sure, for you, the potty training is one of the least attractive aspects of training. On the other hand, try thinking of this stage as an opportunity to bond with your new puppy. He’s only doing what comes naturally. Given praise for the ‘right’ behavior is like a ray of sunshine in your puppy’s mind. Eager to please, he’ll learn the ‘correct’ behavior and bask happily in your praise. If he seems a little slow on the uptake, continue to be patient. He’ll get it, eventually. In the process, you’ll find him paying closer attention to your wishes, just for the sheer pleasure of hearing your praise.

During the first few days, allow your puppy to explore, so he becomes familiar with your home. Your puppy training program does require that you keep a sharp eye on him. Chewing on furniture and your daughter’s favorite sweater must be discouraged! The key to success lies in you keeping your cool, interacting with your puppy in calm and measured tones and consistent behavior.

Once you’ve mastered potty training, training your puppy to obey simple commands is a piece of cake. Now, your puppy knows all about the worst offenses. Teaching him to sit becomes easy. With a little biscuit or other treat in hand, push his behind down as you say ?Sit!?. Sitting is natural to a dog, but he’ll certainly love you all the more when he gets a treat for doing something that easy!

Training your puppy is easy, when you exercise patience and give him a lot of love!

Advantages of Composite Decking Material

Advantages of Composite Decking Material

I knew it was time to get serious about replacing our old, rotting deck when I walked across it with no shoes and ended up with a splinter the size of Texas. It’s one of the joys of owning an older home — sometimes home improvement projects just present themselves! But planning a glorious new outdoor living space in the springtime isn’t such a bad thing. And with all the new-fangled composite decking material out there these days, hopefully this project will be one we’ll enjoy for many years to come.

I know some purists out there say that redwood is the only way to go for decks, and some builders mention using waterproof aluminum, but the more I’ve read, the more it seems that composite decking material is a better answer. There are a number of companies out there making composite decking material these days, from LockDry to Permadek to Trex, and all offer a number of advantages over traditional lumber. It’s great to be able to shop on the Internet for these different materials and compare prices and features.

Because it’s a carefully engineered product, composite decking material tends to be a lot tougher than wood. It’s not as prone to splitting and warping, and unlike lumber it doesn’t have to be stained repeatedly to prevent water damage. Our builder says composite decking material is easy to cut, easy to nail, and looks great without even a swipe of paint or stain. It’s a virtually maintenance-free choice.

And for those of us who are looking for ways to go green, composite decking material is a real winner. The ingredient lists on some of these brands include things like recycled plastic bags, reclaimed sawdust, extruded polystyrene, and a whole host of other materials that might otherwise have ended up in a landfill. So from an environmental standpoint, it’s a choice I feel good about.

We had a good contractor who was able to provide precise measurements for our project, so ordering composite decking material off the Internet ended up being a real time-saver. We were able to find great pricing, and because our stock was shipped right from the factory, we didn’t have to wait too long to get started on our project. And believe it or not, when it was all said and done, we came in under the budget we’d set for a traditional lumber deck. I can’t wait to invite some friends over, crank up the grill, and break in our fabulous new outdoor space!

Creative Hobbies

Creative Hobbies

In my mind, the creative hobbies are the best ones. Don’t get me wrong ? I have no problem with people who like to join football clubs, go hiking on a nice spring day, or pass the afternoon away with books. All of those are great things for you, and they can be a lot of fun, but for me the most important thing is to exercise my creative voice. I think that the desire to create is an innate human one. Back in earlier times, everyone had to do a lot of crafting just to get by. Over thousands and thousands of years, we evolved tool making abilities. Creative hobbies allow you to exercise some of this human ingenuity on your off hours ? a vital release for most of us living in the modern urban world.

All of the creative hobbies are very different, and not every craft is for every person. The most abstract creative hobby, of course, is writing. Everyone likes telling stories, although most people don’t recognize it. If you go to a movie and give someone a synopsis, you are storytelling. If you hear a juicy bit of gossip and embellish it before passing it on, you are constructing a story. Writing fiction takes this pleasurable activity to another level. Even if you don’t have the skills to be a masterful author, I highly recommend giving it a try. It is one of the best creative hobbies out there.

For me, however, a creative hobby has to be a little bit more concrete to be truly rewarding. That is why I have always loved model making. I began building models when I was just a boy. I would construct scale plastic models with my dad and paint them in intricate detail. I moved on from there to other similar creative hobbies. Right now, my big passion is building and flying radio controlled airplanes. This may be an expensive hobby, but it is a lot of fun. One plane can give you hundreds of hours of enjoyment as you experience the world of an aviator in miniature. You can do it in a variety of different ways as well. Some people go to the hobby store and pick up an almost ready to fly aircraft, while others prefer to take the time to assemble it in detail themselves. I’ve always been of the latter camp. For me, half the fun is putting it together.

A Look at the 2004 Election

A Look at the 2004 Election

The 2004 election took place in a highly competitive environment with the two candidates enjoying full benefits of media coverage and a close race thus ensured. As a result of the media coverage, the voters made informed choices. The 2004 election were however held at a unique time, in the context of an ongoing election reform process with procedural issues such as provisional balloting remaining to be addressed. During the Election Day, a broad participation and turnout was evident indicating a high interest among voters in the contest. As expected, the Republican and the Democratic Parties dominated the political landscape due to their substantial material and institutional resources. The Republican nominees were President George W. Bush and his Vice Richard Cheney while the Democratic nominees were President Senator John Kerry and Vice Senator John Edwards.

Being the 55th quadrennial presidential election, they were held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 with the President George W. Bush defeating the Democratic Party candidate John Kerry. The dominant theme throughout the campaign was the controversial foreign policy, particularly the issues relating to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the ongoing War on Terrorism. Despite the voting controversies and concerns especially with the state of Ohio, the 2004 election process had far less controversy than in 2000.

There were some states that decided to change their allegiance. New Mexico and Iowa, while Democratic during the 2000 election, they voted Republican in the 2004 election. What made the Republican nominee George W. Bush win the election? It had a lot to do with his popularity as a wartime president. Having invaded both Afghanistan and Iraq as part of the war on terror, it helped consolidate his base and ward off any serious challenge. His continued support on efforts to fight terrorism and with the fateful September 11 episode still fresh in the minds of most Americans, it is not difficult to see why this approach favored him in the 2004 election. His focus was two-fold: Defend America from terrorism and build an ownership society. The ownership society would allow Americans to increase home and stock ownership, invest in the stock market using some of their Social Security and encourage more people to have their own health insurance. While Kerry?s slogan of ?Stronger at home, respected in the world?, won him the Democratic nominations and suggested that his concerns would involve paying more attention to domestic concerns, Bush?s toughness on terrorism sounded more pleasing to the Americans which was reaffirmed during the 2004 election.
